Prototype - Lunar Eye Mandala

An experimental Nick’s Knacks layered wood study combining ornamental geometry, lunar imagery, and dimensional laser-cut construction.

The design centers on a stylized eye surrounded by moon phases and repeating decorative forms. Multiple individually cut layers create depth throughout the circular composition, allowing the open areas and shadows between layers to become part of the design.

This prototype was created while exploring intricate layered construction, negative space, and compact dimensional display concepts.
