Prototype - Dragon's Library

An intricate Nick’s Knacks fantasy fabrication study depicting a dragon curled around a hidden library filled with books, gothic architecture, and winding interior details.

The design combines finely engraved wood artwork with layered cut construction to create depth throughout the dragon, wings, library shelves, architectural opening, and spiral staircase. Two experimental versions were produced while exploring alternate approaches to the central window area.

The All Wood version retains a fully wood-based presentation, while the Acrylic Window Background version introduces an acrylic element behind the central opening for additional material contrast and depth.

This study was created while exploring highly detailed engraving, layered fantasy compositions, and mixed-material dimensional fabrication.

Because these are experimental prototypes, they may include visible laser-cut edges, natural wood variation, small alignment differences, engraving variation, adhesive or assembly characteristics, and other fabrication details that would be refined in a finished production edition.
